Polls have opened in the 2018 Jersey General Election. Polling stations are at parish halls and community centres across the island from 08:00 to 20:00 this evening.
It is the first time a Jersey election has been held in the Spring after a vote in the States to move it from the usual October date.
Voters will be presented with between one and three ballot papers depending on whether there is a contested election for deputy or Constable where they are registered.
The only parish with three contested elections is St Mary where there is a race for deputy, Constable and the island wide Senator race.
Apart from St Mary all other Constable elections were uncontested so 11 constables have already been Elected.
Information on how and where to vote is available on the Vote.je website.
